FRIENDS, FESTIVALS AND FOOD SUMMER FUN IN ATLANTA | RIDING IN THE 2018 MAZDA 3 Monday 04 June, 2018

This summer is already starting off amazing. I have a few press trips and an upcoming month long trip to Mexico and mini visit to NYC for a while, but before I leave I had some fun in the city! Summer is all about festivals, friends and food! So I got a chance to do all of those things in my city of Atlanta, driving around my own town before I take flight to Los Angeles Disney for #Incredibles2Event and then taking off away from my town. Check out some of my fun as I drove around in the 2018 Mazda 3.

FRIENDS

One of my pet peeves is that people, especially people from out of state call Atlanta, Hotlanta. Yes its obvious it is hot, but a huge problem in this city its very few places you can enjoy summer poolside (never beachside) unless you know someone with the luxury of a pool at their home or their complex has one. Luckily I do have a friend who had a beautiful pool at her home we could hang and chill out in. Ironically my friend Sasha, owner of the home with the pool, was leaving to go to China for a new teaching job. So this was my way of hanging out with her before we both left. I always appreciate a good pool!

FESTIVALS

ATLANTA FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL KICK OFF PART: DESTINATION DELICIOUS – Atlanta Food and Wine Fest has an annual kick-off party called Destination Delicious hosted by experts at The Local Palate before the actual big festival the day before. Destination Delicious will showcase the flavors and traditions during a tasting journey through the South, with bites and beverages inspired by the local flavors – basically its a mini #AFWF experience. Read more on this blog and recap here.

Atlanta Food and Wine Fest

ATLANTA FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL 201 – Atlanta Food & Wine Festival presented by Southern Living, the country’s most popular Southern epicurean weekend, is only weeks away and its celebrated Tasting Tents will once again take guests on an epic journey through the best flavors of the South from Texas to D.C. Read more on this years experience here.

FOOD

Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar is one of my favorite fusion places. Do you like burgers and/or sushi or have you ever had a bento box? If that sounds up your alley and you will be visiting or live in Atlanta check out my post on this restaurant here.

All of this fun was done while I was driving around in the new 2018 Mazda 3. When I will be traveling for a month, I wont have a car at all in Mexico and especially not in NYC thanks to their amazing transit, so I took advantage of hanging out with friends and the festivals in a new sporty car before I left.

I love being from Atlanta I really do, and summer is always filled with a plethora of events and things to do. Its a growing city and for a month and a half, I probably will be missing out on some activities and events while I am gone, but I am glad I got to hang out before I did. I will be back in Atlanta by July, but I did make sure before I left I valued my 3 summer Fs; friends, festivals and food!

The Mazda 3 was a fun summer sporty ride and if you are interested read more about the car and details here.

Have you done any hanging out with friends, festivals and foodie fun for the summer yet?

I love getting out and enjoying Atlanta. We get out and tootle around as a family, and my husband and I also enjoy date nights in downtown.

Sounds like your summer is heating up in Hotlanta 😉 I’m a bit jealous that Atlanta has so much going on in the summer. We have to drive to Chicago, a 2 hour drive, if we want to do anything remotely fun this time of year.

  • I love going on trips with my best girls! They always make the trip a lot more fun and exciting. Glad you guys had the best time! The food looks great but what really stood out is how awesome that Mazda 3 is!

Atlanta has so ridiculously good food and a ton to do during Hear summer months. The Mazda is a sweet ride, wish they had a vehicle for my family’s size!

Beautiful photos! I have so many issues with my car and have decided to finally stop putting money into repairs. I’m now looking for a new car and Mazda wasn’t even a thought but now it is. I’m so impressed with the features and I think the price point is reasonable.

  • Kim says:

  • All of your pictures came out nice. I love the food pictures the most. Everything looks so inviting and delicious.

  • That food and wine fest looks so fun, it’s making me hungry! What a great car to ride around enjoying all of the fun in!
