Tea Time with the Tankards | Bravo TV Thicker Than Water Wednesday 06 April, 2016
Bravo hosted “Tea With The Tankards“, a private press luncheon at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead featuring Thicker than Water cast, Jewel Tankard, Brooklyn Tankard, Latisha Tankard and Shanira Tankard. It was a beautiful day and a real intimate setting with the lady cast members and I was happy to be invited to get to know them better.
Hello Spring! New Season, New Do!
Well to start this was my first event in which I debuted my new hair! Yes guys I cut and straighten my hair! I know I will have several questions as to why and deets on that…I will get to that in another post I promise. But for now, I am loving my new hair, a great change for the new season and I got to showcase it and this tea!
For the tea we were served very eloquently lite bites of finger sandwiches with a plethora of selections. For dessert we had a variety of sweets of macaroons, cupcakes and scones. Of course we had tea and the Orange Jasmine was my favorite.

Springtime Tea + Pretty Ladies
Myself and other influencers participated in intimate conversations with the cast and enjoyed a classic tea party experience. We were all dressed up for this chic springtime occasion!
The Tankard Ladies + Me
The tea was wonderful. It’s very rare where you can have a small intimate setting with reality stars. Trust me I live in the home of reality TV stars…usually any event for them is a huge production. It was nice to just sit down, talk and have open dialogue with the Tankard women and learn what is in store for Season 3 of the Bravo’s Thicker Than Water. If you aren’t familiar with Thicker than Water, its a show that is based on the Tankard family that has built several successful business ventures and they have instill these values with their children. Think of them as the modern Brady Bunch with lots of business intellect in the millennial world.
Although like many families, it has it’s boughs of drama but this isn’t a show that is heavily focused on drama at all. It is based on love, growth, family values and spirituality. It’s a show that is a great refresher from other reality shows, which are now getting bad reps and polluted with more over the top scenarios, this goes back to the era where television promoted family bonding. It’s wonderful they are on their 3rd season and it was so nice to sit and have tea with a great group of family women. Check out the trailer for Season 3 of Thicker Than Water below.

That must have been fun being invited to go and meet up with these ladies! I think it would have been interesting to see how they act in real life versus how they act on the show.
What a treat! You all look so beautiful and I know tea time was fabulous. I, too, appreciate the Tankard family for bringing something positive and uplifting to look forward to in reality TV. Thanks for sharing this experience with us.
I don’t watch reality shows because they’re generally full of unnecessary drama, but if this show is about family and values and such, maybe I’ll check it out.
I love high tea, and this one looks delicious. I just had high tea in New York at The Plaza awhile ago and now I want to have them in every city. Spending the afternoon with the cast AND high tea must have been the best experience. Glad you enjoyed it!
Those desserts all look amazing!! What a great tea time that you were able to have!! I can’t remember the last time I went to a tea like this, and what a great cast to have tea with!
I’m in the Atlanta area too! Looks like a fun and unique experience. I will have to check out this show, I’m not familiar with it. I love high tea. The food looks so delicious! Wish I was there, lol.
Buckhead? Is that Atlanta? How great is it that you were able to attend such an event! I’ve never attended any such thing in terms of part of my blogging life!
I’m not familiar with the show but I think it’s great. A classic tea part with the cast is a great experience. All are dolled up in colorful fashion, very nice for the photo op.
They film in my neighborhood. are you in Nashville?
What a fun experience and great excuse to get dolled up! Love afternoon tea, it’s so girly and dainty 🙂
I love going to teas in the spring and this looks like it was such a fun event. Everyone looks fabulous!
Those treats look delectable! I haven’t seen the show but now I’m interested. A family that instills entrepreneur skills in their kids is awesome!
Those sandwiches look amazing! I love little finger sandwiches.
Are these ladies related to Ben Tankard? I’m so out of the loop. Looks like a good show. Love you hair btw!

I have a love hate relationship with this show but it does look like a cool event.
Oh I love a good tea. I need to do this with my girlfriends. We can pick a theme and go for it.
I swear you attend the coolest events girly! I’ve never watched this show, but the tea looked like a ton of fun.

I have watched the show a couple times, and I pass their church in Murfreesboro all the time. Glad you had fun!
I’ve never heard of this show, but I love spring tea parties! Doing one for my friend’s bridal shower later this month.
What a thrill! I have watched the show since it debuted three seasons ago, and the storyline has gotten stronger and better… Wonderful event! 🙂
