Travel Divas Girlfriend’s Carnival Cruise Experience Friday 22 January, 2016
So one of my biggest trip I have taken was on a Carnival Cruise with The Travel Divas. I am a Travel Diva blogger ambassador and I was invited on a 8-day cruise with the divas. It was called “The Girlfriend’s Cruise” where every year this is a staple travel diva trip that is brought by women who bring their best girlfriends and have a Girl’s Cruise Night Out!
This was my first cruise ever, like ever so this was extra special to me. I also never been on a vacation for this long so I was so excited as the Carnival Sunshine Cruise went to Aruba, Curacao and Grand Turk. I will talk more about my personal experience on my first cruise and my Carnival experience, but right now I wanna highlight the fun I had with the divas.
Travel ambassadorship has been a ball, With my fellow travel blogger friend, Nikka Shae who was with me for the cruise!
Excited for my first cruise and fun ambassadorship with The Travel Divas
So the first night was a mingling night with the 60+ guest that came along on the trip! Yes it was that many guest on this cruise! Mostly women, but some of the ladies brought their husbands…but this was Girlfriend fun! We all gathered together for our first dinner, which each night was literally fine dining! The signature Travel Diva bags and goodies were provided this night! Each trip the client gets a gift to welcome them!

Every night on the cruise, we all ate together at 8pm each night in the same dining spot. Each night the servers provided us with different signature drinks for the evening! Nice !We had so many personal parties from the Breakfast at Tiffany’s Brunch, 80s Party, Scavenger Hunt, Mimosas Mingle and Costume Party! Check out the photos below of all the Diva activities!
Breakfast At Tiffany’s Luncheon
This was one of our classier mingling events. All the ladies dressed up in their most Fab Breakfast at Tiffany’s attire. All black dress and pearls set the tone for The Travel Divas private event.
80’s Divas Party!
The 80’s party was our next private Divas event as this was so much fun. We took it back to the past 80s style and this was a lot of fun! Whether you were hip-hop 80s or more Cyndi Lauper/Madonna inspired…we all had so much fun partying like its was 1989 (ha I was like 3).
Mimosa Mingle
The Mimosa Mingle event was fun too! This was our signature Diva Day as we all wore our Travel Diva shirts for the day on the boat. Everyone knew us as the Divas that day! People were self-recruiting themselves and saying next year they wanted to be a ‘diva’, yes even some men! It was fun to see how we made such a statement on the boat with our shirts! The mimosa mingle party was fun too as we had a plethora of mimosas, bloody marys, wine, and lots of mini bites and sweet treats! Another private event just for us!
Diva Scavenger Hint
After the mimosa mingle, some of the ladies partook in a Diva Scavenger Hunt! This was fun as the women has to find 10 random things on a list and search for them all over the boat. The divas split up in groups of threes, as they searched all over the boat for random things such as find a lady with green nail polish, someone to buy them shots, someone with a full sleeve tattoo, someone with dreadlocks, and even a very hair guy and come back with photo proof! The ladies came back and most of them were able to check off everything off the list, because the people they interacted with were so happy to be apart of the hunt! So the random people were happy to obliged to request and take their photos. The winning trio won a special Travel Diva bath + body set!
Costume Night
This was an uber fun night! This was around Halloween time, and the ladies went all out with their costumes! So much fun to see the ladies turn into characters and enjoy ourselves the last day on the cruise. It was a big Halloween party (I forgot my costume) but it was definitely a great way to celebrate the day!
Travel Divas has a ball on the Carnival Cruise! So many activities. 8 days of fun in the sun and on the boat! Everyone started to recognizes ‘The Divas’ on the boat as we stood out because of our festiveness and we were always doing something to peak other travelers interest since it was so many of us! We took over the cruise!
The Divas always know how to have fun on any trip and with each other. Its a good way to travel with your friends and make new ones. Best is you meet new friends if you are solo. The travel divas always bring a great group of women. Happy to travel with them!

I’m glad you had fun. I want to go on a cruise but I’m scared I will feel trapped or claustrophobic. I get motion sickness very easily. How was it sleeping in the rooms? And could you feel the boat moving? Lol I feel like I’m being extra with all these questions.
Yes I see where your concerns are. You can get motion sickness its real but I had on a pressure point band that helped me ALOT! Some people take pills or some people wear ear patches to help…use one of these forms. Once you get over it after a while you dont even feel it moving majority of the time. Sleep in the rooms were cool…I am gonna be doing a part two so I can go more into the actual cruise ship!
I plan to take a cruise this year. It’s so awesome you were able to go and enjoy this experience with good friends. It sounds like I need to travel with you ladies since you were the life of the party the whole trip.
I have done 2 cruises and enjoyed them thoroughly. Looks like you ladies had a blast :-). It’s nice to unpack just once and enjoy the floating resort isn’t it?

This is what I call a fun vacation. I’ve never been on a cruise but I’m more open to it now that we have kids and they are a little older. The food and drinks look amazing on the cruise you were on!

Um, how can I sign up for something like this? It looks like you had a blast! I have been on one cruise in my life, a Carnival cruise to the Western Caribbean for my honeymoon. I really really enjoyed it and would love to do another one sometime. One of these days!
Looks like you gals had a wonderful time. Cruising is the perfect choice when doing a gathering like that because it is so easy for everyone to meet up and do things together, but you can also have time on your own as well. I love cruising.
I’ve never been on a cruise either, but what better way to try it for the first time than with a group of girlfriends! I really need to plan a vacation like this for after competition season. 🙂
