Instantly when you walk in you will see the set up like a cute little greenhouse. Greenery is the theme as many of the seats are vibrant green, succulents on the table and faux lawn decor around the windowsills.

Well I was here specifically to try their V-day drinks! I love when restaurants go all out with a theme. I got to try all 5 of True Food Kitchen’s Valentine-Themed specialty cocktails aka Sip with Someone Special menu. Check out the fun and festive drinks below.

What I love about all of the drinks is that they were festively decorated for flirtiness and lots of color. Every drink is made fresh at the bar with real organic fruit for the richest cocktail experience.

Bow & Eros – ginger, honey, lime, pineapple and spiced rum

Bow and Eros is my favorite of all of the cocktails. First it looks like I am going on a romantic tropical vacation with this as it gives you a pina colada flair. Its actual inspired by the pina colada drink except instead of coconut milk they added ginger and honey. Perfect for me I love ginger and really don’t like to drink coconut milk. It still gives you the taste of the islands and it was very flavorful as the pineapple still shined through. The pineapple and ginger was a surprisingly great mix!

War of Roses- rose petal, lime, pomegranate infused vodka and prosecco

War of Roses is staying true to its name as it was adored with real edible dried roses for garnish and a little flavoring. This drink looks the most like Valentines Day, its a cute and romantic drink.

Love A-Pear – lemon, honey, pear & vanilla infused bourbon

Love A-Pear is creatively named to sound like love affair (took me a while to realize this). It does have hints of pear, it wasnt strong enough for me to notice though but this was a smooth drink. I don’t drink bourbon often so I was shocked I could barely taste it as the other flavor blended well with this to where it doesn’t taste alcoholic much.

Red Moon – Grapefruit, yuzu (Asian fruit) and honey

Red Moon is a sprintzy drink with the grapefruit juice floating nicely at the bottom. It taste very similar to a mimosa but I do think this one is non-alcoholic. So for the non-drinkers out there who still want a romantic themed drink this is for you.

Hot In The Dark – lime, ixa organic tequila, jalapeno, pomegrante

Hot in the Dark is my second favorite drink for the decor and the flavor. This is a very flirty but spicy concoction but not overbearing with the heat. I really enjoyed it and it was one of the more sexier drinks.

I thought it would be cute to take a picture with my taco since I coincidentally wore my Let’s Taco Bout It shirt. I only order one taco as I already had the teriyaki quinoa bowl as my meal, but the taco are considered an entree. You will definitely get more than one if you order as an entree. It was a very tasty taco as they specified it was grass-fed beef and I can taste the difference in flavors.

Overall I enjoyed the delicious tasting of the Valentine themed cocktails. Valentine’s Day is about the food but drinks are always fun to indulge in as well. If you have a hot date this weekend or need a spot to celebrate Gal-entines with your girls or good friend I would recommend getting a drink from True Food Kitchen. The drinks specials are only running for a short time from Feb. 10th – 14th so I would definitely try this out for the holiday!
