Where to Stay in Charleston : The Cottages on Charleston Harbor Monday 13 August, 2018
I recently went on a roadtrip to Charleston,SC with one of my closest friends Saskia for a short getaway. We live in Atlanta, so it was just a short 4 hour drive away and we stayed at The Cottages on Charleston Harbor. We were super excited as it was our 1st time in Charleston, one of the world’s most popular and visited travel destinations in the U.S., and the perfect vacation spot to enjoy beautiful beaches, delicious dining, unique shopping, intriguing history as well as splendid gardens and architectural delights.

OUR 2-BEDROOM COTTAGE
The Cottages on Charleston Harbor features 10 harbor front cottages with designer appointments and a full kitchen, all surrounded by lush landscaping and shaded by Palmettos. An ideal setting for a relaxing getaway, each two bedroom, three bath, 1,400 square-foot cottage has private screened porches equipped with rocking chairs, a Pawley’s Island hammock, table and chairs. Heart pine floors, gas fireplaces, leather club chairs, cathedral ceilings and walls of windows provide substance and warmth. Pillow top mattresses, luxury linens, custom bath amenities, flat screen HDTVs and a Bose stereo all contribute to the comfort and relaxation. High-speed wireless connectivity is available in all cottages as well as the Clubhouse.
BACK PORCH VIEWS
So right off of our spacious back porch we had an amazing cottage that faced the beautiful views of the Charleston Harbor. It was so pretty and instant relaxation. We enjoyed it on our enclosed screened porch and sometimes sitting outside. It was beautiful!
POOL AREA
Its still blazing summer and although the Charleston Harbor views are amazing, we were happy to find out this place had a pool! It was a cute pool that looked really posh and vibrant. Reminded me a little of a Cali hotel pool scene. Plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and shade clubhouse lounge areas near it too! What was cool was this is near the conceirge entrance, so there is an array of daily snacks, refreshment and more to have access too as well. Deluxe continental breakfast is offered each day, and we enjoyed it in the Clubhouse lounge.
We had a beautiful and peaceful time staying here. I also never stayed at a cottage so its the best of both worlds of hotel hospitality with a beach home escape feel. The Cottages on Charleston Harbor raises the bar as a best-of-both-worlds location to explore Charleston’s attractions while enjoying a private and spacious enclave where unparalleled service and Southern hospitality set the stage for relaxation and renewal, with the city’s exciting attractions nearby. You made a good choice for your accommodation. Hotels are always okay but cottages give you a “warmer” feel. Just like a home away from home. Glad that you enjoyed your stay in Charleston.
I have never been to Charleston, but I’m addicted to Southern Charm on Bravo, so now it’s on my must-see list. I love the quaintness and sweetness of these cottages.

I’ve been to Charleston before and it was awesome! There are some haunted tours too, but I didn’t do those.
