Where to Stay in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico: The Palm at Playa Monday 09 July, 2018
I am here in Playa Del Carmen for a month, and I got a chance to stay at the ultra luxury boutique hote with The Palm at Beach. It is so swanky and chic, right near all of the tourist action of 5th Avenue and a perfect place to spend your time in this cute city.
There are 69 lofts and suites with sophisticated design, intimate interior spaces and generously distributed. The colors and materials used, harmonize the overall sense of calm and comfort, while high-tech devices and custom made furniture perfectly compliment to enrich the stay of the guests. I stayed in one of their Deluxe Suites, which gave me a full experience of the luxury this hotel has to offer.
The bedrooms are totally independent: King size bed in the master bedroom and 1 sofa bed. The adjoining room can have king-size bed (subject to availability) or twin beds. I love the color theme of the teal, which is throughout the entire hotel, to give you the ocean and pool vibes whether you are inside or outside!
Amenities include:
- 2 Plasma TV with Cable
- Puerto IPod / IPhone
- Phone
- Wi-Fi
- Air conditioning
- Fans
- Electricity 110 Volts
- Safe
- Magnetic Key
- Showers
- Hair Dryer
- Vanity Mirrors
- Fine Cotton Sheets
- Spacious balconies
- Wetbar
- View Garden or Avenue
- Coffee Maker
The Rooftop at Palm
The Rooftop at Palm was my favorite amenity! The access to their roof which lead to a pool, cabanas, hammock and jaccuzi was amazing! I was in heaven and it was a refreshing place to chill and tan and relax in the muy caliente city.
I took naps in that hammock and on the poolbeds. Yes there were beds embedded in the pool. The great thing about this rooftop is that even if you aren’t a guest, one can purchase a Day Pass and enjoy the amenities of the rooftop as well.
SABOR A MAR RESTAURANT
Sabor a Mar is apart of The Palms at Playa which offers signature dishes in a very casual atmosphere. Here they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with colorful and vibrant decor at this seafood restaurant. This restaurant is also open to the public for any of the meals. For guest at The Palms at Playa you get an amazing al la carte continental breakfast!
Dinner
Breakfast
I loved their breakfast so much. Another great meal selection here at Sabor A Mar. I love that they give fresh pressed juice as an option for beverage. You can get fresh delicious fruit slices as a colorful presentation before your breakfast entree is served. I got a veggie omlet made to order, and it was amazing.
OTHER AMENITIES
- American Breakfast included
- Access to the gym is complimentary
- Wi-Fi is complimentary
- Welcome drink at check in
- Welcome assorted fruit at the room
- Parking lot subject to availability in the property

I loved my lush stay here at this hotel. It was cute, comforting and it gave me a little bit of the same vibes I would get if I was in Miami. Very modern and contemporary, trendy but most importantly the service was amazing. There is also a concerige on site that can offer you several excursion and ideas to do around Playa del Carmen. Stay tuned for my post with Frida Kahlo Museum and Rio Secreto, which can be coordinated by The Palms at Playa.
