To be considered students must be between the ages of 13-19, live in the US and be in grades 9-12. They also must be “inspired, motivated, and prepared to dream big.”

This is the first year where nominations are open! The application process starts on now and goes until October 2024. It’s a chance to be inspired, educated, and have fun in The Most Magical Place on Earth.

The Disney Dreamers Academy offers incredible opportunities to the teens. They can attend sessions that teach important life skills, leadership qualities, effective communication, and networking strategies. They also get to participate in workshops related to their dreams, exploring different career paths in business, entertainment, and sciences, including opportunities within The Walt Disney Company.

As the Disney Dreamers Academy Ambassador, Halle Bailey, the talented actor and singer who plays Ariel in the live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid,” had some special moments during the event. She shared her own struggles and lessons on her journey to success, and she even hosted two aspiring filmmakers from the program at the world premiere of “The Little Mermaid.”

Throughout the years, the Disney Dreamers Academy has inspired more than 1,500 students from all over the country. Many graduates have achieved great things, becoming doctors, engineers, performing artists, entrepreneurs, Disney Cast Members, and more. Some have even become mentors to new generations of Disney Dreamers.

The Disney Dreamers Academy program is an important part of Disney’s commitment to supporting diverse communities. They want to encourage the next generation to dream big and use what they learn to make a difference in the lives of others.
