The 16-year-old Watkins, founder of Tiger Mushroom Farms and the Garden Club Project, was left in awe as John personally invited him to the set of ‘Shark Tank’ in Los Angeles during a media interview. At just 7 years old, Te’Lario II kicked off Tiger Mushroom Farms after a Cub Scout Project. He sold his mushrooms at local farmers markets, catching the eye of various media outlets and even featuring on the Steve Harvey Show!
Now, Tiger Mushroom Farms offers fresh shiitake and oyster mushrooms at Farmers Markets like Worthington, Westgate, and the Franklin Park Conservatory Farmers Market. Te’Lario is a Hunger Hero with No Kid Hungry, organizing an annual Friendsgiving to raise funds and awareness for ending hunger. Recently honored as a 20 Under 20 Youth Leader by the Mayor of Columbus, Te’Lario also surprises markets across the area.
