RECONNECTING WITH JESSICA

There is so much to celebrate lately. My favorite way of celebrating anything is over food and drinks. Recently I connected with my friend Jessica, who I have not seen or heard from in many years due to her moving to Italy five years ago. Even before her move to Italy, we lost touch a little bit. Jessica wasn’t always the social media person and this was in the era of Myspace I believe we lost touch. I went to college one way and she went another, number changed and we accidentally lost touch.

Well she was on my mind lately, and I told myself to check to see if she was finally on Facebook and finally I found her. I inboxed her immediately and told her to call me so we can connect again I was so happy and good new she is back in the States and practically my neighbor! I’m so happy to have her back in my life as a friend as we grew up together in High School working our first jobs at Stone Mountain park. we were always so close. I missed her so much, I literally haven’t seen her in over ten years, so I thought we would celebrate each other and invited her to Red Lobster for Lobsterfest. Lobsterfest has been Red Lobster’s largest and most iconic event for over 30 years. It is the ultimate celebration of everything lobster. Jessica was definitely the perfect person to celebrate with!

“Lobsterworthy” describes a moment or an occasion that you consider so special that you have to go celebrate with a delicious lobster.

red-lobster-lobsterfest-celebrate-lobster-review-kiwi-the-beauty-8 This year’s Lobsterfest includes four brand new and five favorite lobster entrées that can be enjoyed many seafood variations – including roasted, steamed, grilled or stuffed. The Lobsterfest lineup also includes new appetizers, drinks and desserts for a Lobsterworthy meal.

        NEW! Lobster Mix and Match

I got the Lobster Mix and Match meal, where I chose two Maine lobster tails, either topped with creamy shrimp sauce, stuffed with seafood, gently steamed, or sizzled over a wood grill.  I was able to choose two lobster tails from four choices to create my own entrée, including: Creamy Shrimp-Topped Lobster Tail, Seafood-Stuffed Lobster Tail, Steamed Maine Lobster Tail, or Grilled Maine Lobster Tail.

Lobster Fest Side Additions: Roasted Carrots & Butternut Squash with Bourbon Brown Butter and Creamy Langostino Lobster Mashed Potatoes

Although my Lobster Mix and Match Meal came with some standard sides, I wanted to take up a notch and get the LobsterFest special sides. I have been obsessed with butternut squash, so I got Roasted Carrots & Butternut Squash as my veggie side. Mash Potatoes did come with my meal as well but I switched it up for this Creamy Langostino Lobster Mashed Potatoes. Adding these two sides were an extra cost but it was worth it to me! The mash was delicious and so flavorful!

        CONNECTIONS WORTH CELEBRATING

I enjoyed hanging out with Jessica for lunch and celebrating Lobsterfest with her. We enjoyed the meal but we always enjoyed each other. Jessica is definitely one of those people no matter how much time distance or time apart we have talked or hung out with,  we catch up and its as if nothing has changed. Again, Jessica and I haven’t really been in each other lives probably for ten years so we had a lot of adult catching up to do. From our jobs, dating stories and even talking about future travel trips together – we cheers to the past and welcomed our future of continued friendship together. Thanks to social media for reconnecting us and I know I have a friend for life. Cheers to that!

I encourage if you have a friend you haven’t seen or hung out with in a while, reach out to them and set up a LosterFest outing to reconnect. Don’t let social media be the only way you keep in touch. See them in person and celebrate their company and catch up on each other lives. You probably will be amazed on what’s changed and what probably will never change between your friendship. I recommend a Lobsterfest-worthy celebration and a cheers to life and laughter with your loved ones at Red Lobster soon!

Note: This is the Red Lobster location address I visited and would recommend it if you are in Atlanta,GA.
