It’s a heartfelt exploration of Black food, heritage, and community, kicking off in none other than the picturesque Napa Valley—a region renowned for its burgeoning legacy of Black innovation in both food and wine.

In this highly anticipated premiere episode, Chef Jernard Wells mingles with the game-changing figures reshaping the landscape of wine country. Begin your journey with a meeting with Robin McBride, co-founder of the celebrated McBride Sisters Wine Collection. Continue on to the iconic Brown Estate, a pioneering Black-owned estate winery in Napa. And finally, savor a thoughtfully curated food and wine pairing at Vin En Noir, a boutique space that champions Black winemakers.

This week’s adventure is just the beginning! Throughout the season, viewers can look forward to episodes set in vibrant locations like New Orleans, Sag Harbor, San Francisco, Martha’s Vineyard, Nashville, Miami, the Bahamas, and many more.

To commemorate the series launch, TV One hosted an exclusive red-carpet premiere event at ZuCot Gallery in Atlanta. The celebration gathered network executives, tastemakers, press, and influencers alongside Chef Jernard. Among the special guests at the event were Porsha Williams, Michelle Rice, Gary Wit Da Tea, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, Torrei Hart, and Griff—all there to toast the show’s exciting debut!

“Savor the City” is crafted by Powerhouse Productions, featuring Rochelle Brown and Sonia Armstead as Executive Producers, and Kenneth Colbert as Senior Producer. Susan Henry takes the helm as VP of Original Programming and Production for CLEO TV.
