{Reality Recap} WeTV’s Cutting It in the ATL Prescreening Friday 15 May, 2015
Atlanta is rapidly growing into the Reality capital of the world. There is a new show coming up about four business salon owners who are taking over the hair industry in Atlanta. They had a lavish pre-screening party to showcase the new show and introduce the new reality stars to Atlanta.
The event was a huge turn out as Atlanta’s socialites and tastemakers anticipated the arrival of the cast mates, other local reality stars and the upcoming pre-screening of the new show.
These are the new reality stars of WETV’s Cutting It In Atlanta {l-r} Dedra Allen, Maja Sly,Mushiya Tshikuka, Lakenya Morris, and Beautii Joseph.
This is Beautii Joseph, owner of Spoiled Opulence salon in Atlanta. Fun fact: She was my hairstylist for years at Spoiled Opulence. I am so happy for her and this upcoming show to highlight her brand and salon. She does amazing hair and her salon does give you an instant opulent feel. This is my stylist and I love her dearly…so if you check out the show – know she is near and dear to my heart! Another fun fact…I may or may not be on an upcoming episode ::wink wink::
WE tv president and general manager Marc Juris along with “Cutting It” executive producers Kate Farrell, Robyn Schnieders, Jordana Hochman and David Stefanou were also on hand to celebrate the show.
They had a cute concession stand for the event. I love that…it was so cute. Gotta have that popcorn ready when you are about to watch a reality show. You know the drama is coming.
Soda, Snacks and Popcorn for the big pre-screening of Cutting it In Atlanta.
There was an actual theater screening for the reality show. Full house of people waiting to see the very first episode before the actual premiere last week! Lets just say there is definitely gonna be some Salon Wars coming.
After the screening, there was a Q&A session moderated by media personality Egypt Sherrod. They answered questions about the show and the response of whats to come. As we all know, reality shows for the most part does equal drama, especially amongst a lot of women. TV channels think its prime-time gold to cast lots of women with strong personalities and of course ultimately they will crash. I will say the difference between the shows that are currently out now and Cutting It In Atlanta is that all of the women are business owners. They aren’t fighting over a man or a man is the head of their success…they have created their own lane and produced their own longevity of success. Atlanta is a very pivotal city in the hair industry and all of these women have capitalized off that tremendously. So before you think this is another drama-filled reality show…these women are actually striving to grow their brands and businesses and using this show as a platform to do it. They all agreed that they are salon owners before they are reality stars.
