One of Disney’s most beloved story with its new contemporary adaptation is almost here. As a 90s child The Lion King was an iconic cartoon and as an adult it is amazing to see it readapted with an all-star celebrity cast. To celebrate the upcoming movie Disney just debuted some classic promo photos of the voice cast in an elegant way!
Disney’s “The Lion King,” directed by Jon Favreau, journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. Staying true to the classic story, Favreau utilizes pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring the iconic characters to the big screen in a whole new way. Disney’s “The Lion King” opens in U.S. theaters on July 19, 2019.

These The Lion King character photos with their voice over celebrity shots are amazing. So classically taken and it really lets you know the true impact each voice cast will have over their digitized character.
Many people on social are loving the character photos and promo but had question on one of the most prominent actors of the film? Where is James Earl Jones? Well the answer isnt clear as to why he isn’t in the full cast shot or the character promo for his role as Mufasa. If you didn’t know he is the only one who has played in the original and the modernized The Lion King. So it stands forever that there is only one Mufasa and that is James Earl Jones. Photo opp or not, him keeping up with the legacy and staying the voice of Mufasa is history making in himself, cant wait to hear James Earl Jones and that booming voice again!
