I am a Vanity Fair Social Club Blogger for Oscars Weekend 2016! Friday 26 February, 2016
Hey guys! Surprise I am in Los Angeles for a week! I have been so busy, I didnt even tell you all my birthday passed and everything. My birthday was Feb 6th and I turned the big 3-0! So exciting…I am going to save my sediments on that on another post, but just wanted to let you know what I am doing on my late birthday trip to myself. I booked a trip to LA months ago just for fun, and a fun trip turned into an amazing opportunity to become a Vanity Fair Social Club influencer for the Oscars! Isn’t that amazing? Now you all know I do amazing events in Atlanta all the time…but this is my first official LA event! So this is uber exciting for me!! I am still pinching myself! Happy belated birthday to me!

So what is Vanity Fair Social Club? V.F. Social Club is Vanity Fair Agenda’s weeklong, invitation-only social suite for select influencers held during its annual Campaign Hollywood celebration. I was selected amongst 200 other fabulous influencers in the Los Angeles area and its 4 days full of fun, panelist, mingling and helping pre-promote the upcoming Oscar award ceremony. I was so excited I was selected for this, as I actually was hoping I would get an opportunity to do some media events while I am here…and wish was granted! I am a huge fan of the Vanity Fair magazine and they have organized a great club for us influncers and happy to be apart of their second annual celebration for this! I did Day One already, but I will do a full recap of all of the events! Already so much fun and fab!

I just want to be a little candid with you all before I go. I know you all love seeing me go to events and having fun and recapping these experiences. I am having a ball doing what I love but I promise the goal is to do bigger and better. You all I would love for you to understand I want to be a big influncer in the media industry, not just for the glitz and glam but to make a big difference to inspire. I have always wanted to be in media and be able to do fabulous red carpets and attend huge events. Now I am in LA where the home of Hollywood lives. I am doing Oscar pre-party events…this is just the beginning. I want to be able to not just cover events in Atlanta, but to travel and share with you all in various cities where media and engagement are happening. I am proud to be apart of a generation where traditional media is now working with online influencers such as myself to be the new journalist and engage with social media to enhance a message.
Print and Television isnt the only way we watch or get our information. Most of us are on our phones looking for the lastest trends and keeping up to speed with pop culture and media. I am all aboard and loving it…and as a social influncer and having this opportunity I am excited to continue to grow with the industry and produce content on this platform. California has always been a dream of mine to move and have opportunties. This is just my first one. You guys do not understand how throughly happy and blessed I feel to be at the right place at the right time literally to be even be extended this opportunity. I think I am the only influencer in the room from Atlanta…everyone else are local influencers…which is great! I am excited to continue to network with the local influencers and just absorbs some of this LA energy and really show you all my engagement and excited at the #VFSC events.
