[Movie Review] How Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time Film Is The Law of Attraction for Kids Wednesday 07 March, 2018

I am so thrilled that I got an opportunity to go on an exclusive press trip for #WrinkleInTimeEvent. The press trip consisted of us watching the film (twice), attending the celebrity carpet and world premiere, attending the World Premiere After Party, and doing several interviews with the cast. Please check out the hashtag for more of the social fun by me and the other Disney blogger on how we got involved with the promo of A Wrinkle in Time.

I have several blog post that I have already done on the movie, and I have more to share with you soon but this blog will be about the actual review of the film. I was blown away but before I get into the review I want to talk about the Law of Attraction. If you read this blog often or personally know me, you know I constantly talk about The Law of Attraction.

What is the law of attraction? According to wikipedia.com, In the New Thought philosophy, the law of attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts people can bring positive or negative experiences into their life.[1][2] The belief is based on the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from “pure energy”, and that through the process of “like energy attracting like energy” a person can improve their own health, wealth and personal relationships.

Basically what you think it will manifest. It will come to fruition good or bad. So for example look at my photo displays of me next to photos of Oprah Winfrey. My goal on this trip was to definitely get a selfie with her!

Took both of these photo before I got my official selfie with Oprah Winfrey. Check out my magical Wrinkle In Time World Premiere experience and my manifesting a selfie with Oprah here.

Even though I was on this trip and I knew we were going to interview Oprah, there was no guarantee we would take individual photos with her. But I did get my selfie and I know the law of attraction was a huge part of me getting close to her. Even this trip to Disney was a manifestation. To get close to Oprah, to meet all the stars I met, to even do this review to share with you all the power of this film for kids. I do believe this movie was the start pack of introducing the law of attraction to kids.

My A Wrinkle In Time Review

The movie was absolutely positive and it is just what kids need to see these days. Yes the film has very whimsical and interplanetary and celestial aspects to the movie, but the message is so strong. Meg Murry, who is played by Storm Reid is going through typical changes like most teenagers but hers with a little extra anger. Her dad has been missing for a few years, and it effecting how she behaves in school and how she interacts with her peers. She is highly intelligent as her mother and father were into science and mathematics – so she knows a lot of technical terminology and even some in quantum physics.

I wont give too much information, but this movie is big on quantum physics. There is an important part in the film called “Tesseracting” where you jump from one dimension to another. You can only get there with a certain frequency. The more positive you are the better your transition will be.

Meg Murry, her brother Charles Wallace and her classmate go on an adventure with three celestial beings called Mrs. Mrs. WhatsIt (Reese Witherspoon), Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling) and Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey).  All three of them are highly advance and show Meg Murry on how to find her father and also how to find herself.  The visuals are amazing in this movie, so bright vibrant and colorful for most of the movie. Dont even get me started on the costumes that all of the Mrs. wears. Its a beautiful place but it gets dark.

Speaking of dark, in my opinion if you have kids under the age of 6 years old I would recommend them to see this movie. Ava Duvernay (director) stated this movie for kids 6-12; anyone young might be startled to some of the dark elements of the movie. Its not scary movie dark, but the film does go to a negative place and some mildly chilling elements that occur.

So how is this the law of attraction for kids? Well it teaches all the time that your thought frequency can affect your world. What you think is what you will become. If you think happy thoughts then you can live a happier life, if you think bad thoughts then dark things can happen. Its a powerful theme I don’t see to often in kids films. Everything can change in the shift of a thought frequency. Some adults need to learn this too. Also one of the most important message in the movie that kids can take with them throughout their lives is to “Be A Warrior“. A Warrior isn’t always someone fighting a phyiscal war, it can be a inner war. Be a Warrior Kids!

Oh also you did not have to read this book to follow along with the movie. I know many people grew up on this book, I truthfully don’t remember if I did or not Overall it was a cute movie and kids will see the heroine that Meg Murry becomes in the movie. The young girl is the one who powerhouse this film and will make little girls everywhere keep and sustain the self-esteem that they can have within themselves. Your thoughts are a powerful frequency. Be mindful of it is a great message for all kids (and adults).
