New Year New Hair: Marley Hair aka Crochet Braids Friday 09 January, 2015

MARLEY-HAIR-CROCHET-BRAIDS-NATURAL-HAIR-KIWI-THE-BEAUTY-BLOG1 Happy New Years Everyone! How is your 2015?!

Mine so far is going well. I really don’t do resolutions anymore – instead I decided to just switch up my hairstyle. I was wearing curly extensions believe it or not for three months, and decided I wanted to continue with another natural hair protective style. The winter and natural curly hair can be a bit much. I am really a wash & go kind of girl, but with the colder and unpredictable weather in Atlanta, doing mt hair is a haute mess. Its so brittle and seems like I can’t get enough moisture on my hair I just get fed up with it. So I am giving my hair an additional break with this new fun hairstyle!
marley-hair-crochet-hair-kiwi-the-beauty-protective-hair-style-blog For the first time I tried this option called Crochet Braids with Marley Hair. Its so big, wild and very textured! I love it so much, because as wild and thick as my normal hair usually is – this is hair has even more to work with. I promise you my hair is not this textured and I couldn’t get it to this textured if I tried. I love being natural and the fun part about being natural or just playing in hair period are the options! I can switch it up and make different styles and even choose different colors. I decided I am no longer coloring my hair, so it was fun adding this color blocking pattern to my style. That was totally an accident, my hair stylist just decided to make on side black and the other side brownish/blonde and it works! It’s different and most importantly – this hair is very affordable! I spend a total of $22 on all the hair on my head ($4.99 at my local beauty supply store) so 2 packs of black hair // 2 packs of blond/brown hair. I just really like this hair and best part…I dont have to touch my real hair!!! MARLEY-HAIR-CROCHET-BRAIDS-NATURAL-HAIR-KIWI-THE-BEAUTY-BLOG2 For the new year, I also bought myself some new camera eequipmentwith lights and a backdrop for better picture quality on this blog! So I look forward to having more fun mini photo shoots and product reviews! I feel its going to be an amazing year…and it just started! I am happy to start the new year with some new hair…hey sometimes that’s all you need to put a pep in your spirit! It worked for me (along with some bold lips)!

If you are in Atlanta and looking for a great natural hair stylist in here is the information to the person I go to. They also offer in-house make-up services too (they did my makeup as well in this photo).
