[NBC TAKEN] GAIUS CHARLES WEEKLY CHAT | Solo Monday 17 April, 2017
Another weekly chat with Gaius Charles co-star of the hit show Taken on NBC. This week we chatted about episode 7 called ‘Solo’ which ironically Bryan gets “Taken”. The show only has three more episode for Season 1 so its getting really good and fired up! Watched the promo trailer for the episode to get a feel of what happened.
S1 E7 | SOLO
So the tables has turned and Bryan is getting “Taken” for himself. Each episode Bryan is constantly showcasing that he is such an Alpha Lonewolf Warrior, he thinks he can do it all on his own. Well is he prepared for being in captivity and interrogation? I would like to say ‘Taken’ actually provided the viewers with some serious life skills and top notch high quality information on what to do in a hostage and torture scenario. If you watch this episode, seriously take notes! It’s some serious survival military intelligence gems dropped here, might save a life if ever in an extreme situation.
Gaius Charles shared with us during the phone conversation that Alex Cary (show runner) is actually military vet, so many of the episodes were realistic because he had training and knowledge on it first hand. Gaius doesn’t have any former military training or background, but to prepare for the show he did have to go through a process called SERE Training (stands for Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) which is actually used in Black Ops training facilities.
John: Walk Away!
Although John (Gaius Charles) didn’t make too many appearances in this episode, he did make a powerful one. In this episode you will see where John had to draw the line with Bryan. He had to check him a bit or as the people on the streets say “Lay him out” because he is tired of the solo stunts Bryan keeps pulling. I will not ruin the episode, but lets just say what happened to Bryan that was traumatizing had to be done. In the end as traumatic as it was, it more than likely will make this Black Op team stronger as a unit. If Bryan always tries to be the hero he will eventually become a hostage, which is exactly what happened! Teamwork will always make the dream work and if you go and watch this episode, you will figure out why this is important for Bryan to not always go on Solo missions.

I have missed a few episodes of Taken and I need to start catching up with the ones I missed. This is a great show and it is rare to come across shows like this that are worth watching.
I haven’t heard of this show yet, but it sounds cool. I like to let a few episodes build up so I don’t have to wait a long time to see what happpens next.
I am not sure this is my type of show but I think I have a couple of buddies who would thoroughly enjoy it! I’ll ask my best friend and his girlfriend, it totally sounds like it’s right up their alley.
I’ve never seen an single episode of Taken. It sounds like an action packed series and it’s definitely something that I’d enjoy watching. I’d love to catch up! Sounds like it’s a hit!
I love when writers and directors work to make scenes looks as realistic as possible. It makes for better viewing pleasure. Having an actual vet on board makes this process easier for them.

I love, love, LOVE Taken. I was so excited that they did a good job with this show. Great interview.
I haven’t watched Taken yet, but I need to. I loved all the movies, and I’ve heard great things about the show.

That’s awesome that he is a veteran. I’m sure it does bring a new element to the feel of the story.

Men never handle having to eat humble pie. Especially when they’re loners like this character.
